Precision Sheetmetal Work
Metal bending is carried out using our 3m LVD brake press (110 tonne capacity with 8 axis). This allows for large capacity precision bending for a full range of components from enclosures, trays, boxes, architectural signage, cabinets and brackets. We hold a broad range of well managed tooling for all common folds as well as some specialty folds including radius forming. Below are some standard types of punches.
As well as standard types of punches we also hold special tooling for a range of applications. For custom folds we can also have punches and dies made to customer specification. Our tools are carefully maintained to ensure accurate bend angles along the entire bending length.
Programming can be carried out offline or by the operator using conventional programming. Programming is supported with an 8 axis back gauge that guides the work piece through each fold ensuring the highest levels of accuracy, precision and quality. Toolsets are programmed into the press for a wide range of processes and kept on the machine for easy access when required.
Bending can be carried out on a range of thicknesses from 0.5-10mm steel depending on length of bend. For example we can bend 3m of 3mm mild steel.
The Shape 35 CNC punching machine allows for high speed on certain close formed jobs and is equipped with a range of precision tooling for piercing, punching, nibbling, dimpling and cutting. CNC punching is programmed off line with nesting functionality and down loaded by network connection.
Shearing is carried out on the 2.5m guillotine capable of cutting up to 4mm. However, much of our cutting is carried out on the CNC laser cutter.
We also have a number of press tools for presswork, and a collection of fly presses which include a range of louvres, corner notchers, flatteners and trueing tools. We can machine simple tooling inhouse and can accept existing customer tooling in many cases.
