Automotive & Motorsport
Many parts are regularly manufactured in both small production batches and one off's for vintage cars, classic cars, quad bikes and motorcycles. Laser cutting provides an economic solution for parts that are no longer in production. Parts are made for many leading marques incorporating laser cut, folded, welded and fabricated parts. Sorb produces also many parts for F1 motor sport including flanges and brackets from S321 grade stainless steel and inconel.
Panels: All types of flat and formed panels can be produced to specification including floor pans, dashboard panels and specialist interior components for customised vehicles.
Brackets: Fabricated and painted brackets can be manufactured to customer specification working either to original drawings, electronics drawings or even existing parts. Examples include steering, transmission and axle brackets through to engine compartment, seating and bumper mounting brackets.

Motorsport customers include kit car owners, small race car manufacturers as well as some of the largest Formula 1 teams. Requirements accommodated by this sector include the provision of parts in exotic and performance specific materials such as S321 grade stainless steel and inconel. They use our services because of our high quality, fast turn around and because they can rely on us.
Please note that whilst we are always happy to take on board customers from the automotive and motorsports sector we do not manufacture advanced components such as heavily formed body panels, engines components or other parts not readily manufactured by a sheetmetal fabrication company.
